School Advisory Council
What is a School Advisory Council? A School Advisory Council (SAC) is a link between the school and local community. It is made up of parents, faculty and staff, business and community-at-large representatives, and the principal. The South Lake High School SAC plans to meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Media Center during the school year. Its main purpose is to meet to review, evaluate, and assist in the preparation of the School Improvement Plan. This plan is a formal document that shows the processes utilized by the school to improve student performance/achievement, which is then submitted to the School Board for approval.
