"A Hollywood Happening SGA Conference" hosted by Umatilla High School's Student Government Association brought together student leaders from eight Lake County public high schools for a day of growth, collaboration, and school spirit. Designed around positive leadership traits seen in television and movies, the event created an engaging, themed experience that kept students actively involved.

Throughout the day, students "visited" iconic Los Angeles landmarks such as Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica Pier, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where they participated in interactive workshops led by members of Superintendent Kornegay's Student Advisory Council. Each session focused on helping attendees become stronger learners, more effective student leaders, and more civically minded community members.

In addition to the workshops, students enjoyed friendly competitions, celebrated together with a live DJ, and shared lunch generously provided by the Lake County Education Foundation and Chick-fil-A. Advisors also benefited from dedicated collaboration time to discuss common challenges and share strategies for strengthening Student Government participation across the district.
