The East Ridge Knights take on the South Lake Eagles tomorrow night, and Good Day Orlando on Fox35 is getting everyone excited about the big game! News crews will be on site at both schools starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow for a Friday Football Blitz with the bands, cheerleaders, football players and more. Whether you're cheering for the Knights or for the Eagles, tune in tomorrow morning and join the football frenzy!

This week, Thursday 10/3/24 at 7:00 pm is our Fall Tune-up. In this concert, you will hear songs from each choir as well as a few mass choir songs! Come out and support The Soaring Eagles Chorus at this FREE concert!

The South Lake High School CNA program is happy to be partnering with One Blood to host the first Blood Drive of the year on October 10, 2024. Please discuss this opportunity with your students as blood donation is one of the most impactful ways we can save lives here in our community.
Things to keep in mind:
-Students who are 16 require a parent consent form signed to donate, this will be provided at time of sign-up.
-Students 17 and older do not require parent consent.
-Students must weigh 110 pounds
-Students should not have strenuous activity planned for later in the day.
-Bus riders should only schedule a morning appointment so there is no risk of missing their afternoon bus.
-Signs up will take place Monday, Oct. 7th-Wednesday, Oct. 9th during all lunches


We are excited to announce that HBCU Week is hosting a College Fair at Disney Wide World of Sports on October 24, 2024, from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to receive on-the-spot college scholarships and acceptances!
The college fair is open to all 12th-grade students with a 2.5 GPA or higher and 11th-grade students with a 3.3 GPA or higher.

Students must have all fines paid. Fines can be checked on Destiny which is found on Classlink.
Physical tickets must be picked up on Thursday, Sept 19th or Friday 20th before school, after school, and during each of the lunches in the Media Center.
Tickets will NOT be sold at the door or after Wednesday, Sept 18th.
Out of School Guests: Students must submit the Out of School Guest Form and receive approval BEFORE purchasing their tickets. Forms can be found on each grade level Google Classroom, Ms. Schorer room 17-103 and Ms. Lewis room 17-125 starting on August 26th. Out-of-School Guest Forms are due by Friday, September 13th.
Do not purchase a ticket for your out-of-school guest until you receive confirmation that they are approved to attend. Approval denial will be sent to the South Lake student's school email address.

The Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday continues through Sunday, August 11. It is designed to help Florida families save money on essential items students need for the upcoming year. It includes items such as Up to $1,500 for personal computers, tablets electronic book readers, headphones and related accessories; school supplies selling for $50 or less, such as binders, notebooks, folders, markers and pencils; backpacks, clothing and footwear up to $100; and learning aids and related resources such as flashcards, interactive books and matching games selling for $30 or less.
