We are excited to announce the theme and information for Homecoming this year. Guest forms will be available starting this week and will have to turned in by 2:00 pm on 9/17/25. We will not accept any guest forms past 9/17/25. Guest forms need to be picked up and returned to Mrs. Lewis, who are located downstairs in Flight Academy. Please do not purchase a guest ticket until the guest is approved. The student will receive the approval through email and Focus. In order for students to attend HOCO, starting on 8/18/25 : students may not have any out of school suspensions, have no more than 5 unexcused absences, and all fines have to be paid. Please review the student of conduct with your student in regards to tardies. The student code of conduct was reviewed this past week with students during SOAR.

A new state law -- House Bill 1105, which was signed into law on July 1 -- stipulates how and when students can use personal electronic devices during the school day in an effort to support focused learning in all Florida public school classrooms. The law says:
• Elementary and middle school students may not use a cell phone or other personal electronic device at any time during the school day.
• High School students may use cell phones and other personal electronic devices during instructional time only if a teacher gives permission for educational purposes.
• Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis for students with an IEP, specific health needs, or English language learners (ELL).
